Testimonials

"Fast Frontier spent the time and made the effort to understand what our real issues were. They didn't attempt to apply cookie-cutter solutions nor solutions that they had predetermined were right.""

Assessing your readiness

  • It's more than just a new process.  You may be ready to move faster, leaner, and more efficiently, but adopting a new process isn't enough on its own. We'll look at the key success factors and help you prepare.
  • Executive awareness and support.  We'll help your executive team understand how best to support this new way of driving value.
  • Your organization's structure.  We'll guide you in optimizing the roles in your organization for delivery: your business sponsors, product managers, business analysts, software developers, QA, user experience designers, architects and PMO.
  • Your Technical Environment.  Perhaps you have legacy systems, a large bug count or other technical debt, no automated testing, or questionable code quality. You can still be agile in your adoption of Agile by iterating through changes that continuously improve your efficiency.
  • Guiding principles and corporate culture.  We'll determine where you are now and where you need to be to foster the collaboration and values an Agile organization requires.
  • Visibility and metrics.  Teams don't operate in a vacuum.  You'll need to determine the visibility you need to measure the value you require.

Training and coaching your teams

  • Best of breed training based on industry standards.  Scrum is a flexible, light-weight process management framework used to synchronize the business and technology teams. We'll also help you leverage Extreme Programming (XP) for software engineering practices like test driven development and continuous integration to drive quality. Lean Software Development provides the higher level philosophical principles for guiding decisions which drive higher value with less work in a fast-moving economy.
  • A case study for a real kickoff.  Most training includes a stock case study or, in some instances, no case study at all.  We'll create a case study based on your business needs which can kick off you first Sprint iteration.

Integrating Agile into your enterprise

  • We'll take your enterprise further.  Once your pilots are a success, you may wonder how your Agile iterations fit in with your broader planning, budgeting, and management. We'll lead the way.
  • Release management. Agile iterations produce increments of software which can be released, but at times you'll want to bundle several into a single production release.
  • Scheduling across teams. Once you're managing releases for a single product or application, you may need to coordinate with other Agile teams, waterfall teams, planning groups, and architects. Whether you have a central PMO or you just need to move everyone in the right directions, we can help you gain an enterprise view.
  • Investment and debt reduction iterations.  Agile delivers quickly, but may be dependent on developing a product vision or a base platform.  Further, as the velocity of your projects increase, bugs (technical debt) will often be introduced into your systems.  You can still deliver value today while protecting tomorrow.
